Recap!!

Today I’m about to embark on a new journey, we’re leaving for Cambodia!!!! Hip hip hooray!!! But before I can go I need to do a full recap on the completely amazing things God did this past month.

I’ll start things off with Yonah Mountain hike!

This hike was sooo very beautiful. As a squad we hiked Yonah and fun fact Yonah means dove. But together we hiked 4.6 miles with our big packs to meet the most amazing view. In this two day adventure we all bonded over how much pain we were in and also the amazement that God single-handedly created everything we were looking at. Along the hike I collected flowers to no ones surprise, and created a beautiful bouquet. Yonah was such an incredible experience and I’m so thankful I got to do it with my squad.

Next super amazing awesome thing I did was go to Florida!!! The girl on my route and the other gap year route went to Florida to help rebuild houses after the hurricane. This week was so eye opening and such a sweet experience. I really got to bond with the girls on my team and get to know the people we were helping. My team Shekhinah helped with three houses. We did lots of painting, we’re practically professionals now, we put in trim around all the floorboard, and then we also put in new doors. While we were serving we also got served, one neighbor saw us at her daughters house so she made us homemade empanadas and gave us drinks. It was such a blessing that my whole team really needed. Then that night we also got to have worship on the beach, and there’s something about looking out into the ocean and praising the Lord that created all of it. So many people that were on the beach fun decided to come and worship too, it was such a beautiful thing. While I was walking on the beach I was talking to God and I heard the word pure. Right after I heard that I looked down and saw a beautiful white seashell, I don’t know what God was saying other than that the past me is gone and I’m pure. That week in Florida was such an amazing experience and was just a taste of what I’ll be doing for the next eight months.

The last thing that has happened this month is debrief!! Debrief is basically a week that everyone on the squad comes together and meets the mentors, leaders, and coaches to talk about how everything is going, what has God been doing, and how you doing. This was the first debrief so I got to meet my amazing coaches Tim and Karen and got to have team time and one on one time with them. This week went by so fast it’s crazy. But now in about 13 hours I will be on my flight to Cambodia.

God has been moving in my heart and I’m so excited to share with the nations about what my Lord Jesus Christ has done. I would love prayer in battling spiritual warfare and to continue keep my gaze upon him and not getting distracted by the world around me. Also to open the hearts of the people we are going to reach out to that are willing to step out in a little faith.

I also can’t continue this journey with support!! I’m a little over half way funded but I need more help!!

I’m so incredibly blessed to be the hands and feet of Jesus, and I’m excited to see what God continues to do!!
